Enhancing the mobile Experience
Advances in wireless technology increase the number of mobile device users and give pace to the rapid development of e-commerce using these devices. The new type of e-commerce, conducting transactions via mobile terminals, is called mobile commerce. Due to its inherent characteristics such as ubiquity, personalisation, flexibility, and dissemination, mobile commerce promises businesses unprecedented market potential, great productivity, and high profitability. This paper presents an overview of mobile commerce development by examining the enabling technologies, the impact of mobile commerce on the business world, and the implications to mobile commerce providers.when build an application for a mobile device such as the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch ,keep in mind that whatever features your app provide ,it should do so in the most streamlined and convenient manner possible .Consumer may be using your app with only one hand while on to go .Take advantage of unique mobile frameworks that Apple provides.Think about how you could simplify your app's features and usability by directly accessing built -in technologies such as the accelerometer location awareness ,Wi-Fi and the cellular network .For example of pro that enhances the mobile is Bump, a free
iPhone app that makes swapping contact information (as well as picture ,calendar event, and other data )as easy as bumming hands with another Bump user.Exchanging contact information is not a new concept in smart phones. For years, numerous mobile apps have tried to streamline this process in handheld devices but they typically involve too many button clicks with complicated methods of "beaming" viand -formatted data but on Bump took advantage of build in OS technologies to simplify this need into a single action ,which swaps contact in formation instantly and securely.

Bump technologies has developed its own mobile payment app which as you might have already guessed, uses the Bump app to enable phone-to-phone cash transactions via PayPal. Bump got the idea from ING Direct which used its API to set up a service that could transfer money within the ING Direct network. If you were to let your imagination run wild with what the app is capable off, you might see a more fun side of endeavors which are usually pain-staking such as splitting a bill at a restaurant and offering to pay for half a tank of gas in your buddy’s car.
The slight unsurprising hitch though is that both parties who want to use the service have to have the app installed before the transaction can be beamed across. The app which at launch is only for iOS is free and if the user has a checking account, they will be able to avoid extra fees. Until further notice, the app is not yet available for download by Android devices, but if we know Bump, it’s probably already in the making
